During our most recent session, Family Science Club focused on the theme of the healthy heart. The children took part in a sheep’s heart dissection, investigated how their heart rate changes during activity, and examined blood cells under a microscope. This engaging session gave our young scientists a hands-on opportunity to explore how the heart works and why it is vital for keeping us healthy.
Family Science Club returns on Saturday 7 March 2026 with its next session, Earth Science Rocks!
Family Science Club is delivered by Abingdon Science Partnership on behalf of Abingdon Sports and Leisure. The Abingdon Science Partnership (ASP) is primarily a science outreach organisation supported and funded by Abingdon School.
