Tony Edwards (OA 1962) is presenting a talk about RJ Mitchell, who designed the iconic Spitfire. Tony is an aviation and defence industry expert and philanthropist, who amongst numerous roles, has served as President of the Royal Aeronautical Society and as a trustee of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust.
The small charge of £7.50 per ticket will go towards our bursary programme. Tony is a passionate supporter of bursaries at Abingdon and was a beneficiary of a funded place during the Direct Grant era.
Our bar in the Pavilion will be selling drinks and confectionary 5.30pm – 6pm, prior to the talk.
