In our Other Half ‘Page to Stage’ club this term students from 3rd year to Upper 6 have been improvising using Trestle Masks. We have discussed how masks were used in Greek theatre and how they could be used in today’s theatre. The students came up with the idea of various Greek Gods from a variety of myths being dropped into today’s modern world. The Gods come into contact with mere mortals in prestigious places such as McDonalds, Currys PC World, a library ‘full of lies’ and a night club. If you want a giggle, come along to see what the students have written and recorded and will perform live to, whilst masked!
Entry is free, the performance will be finished in time for the start of the School Choirs’ Evening at 7pm.
