Our October half term Electrocraft Camp took place last week, run in partnership with the Coding Guild. Throughout the 3-day camp, children took part in a number of activities which gave them a hands-on introduction into the different elements of electrical circuits.

These activities included:

  • Learning how to create paper circuits with a copper tape and LEDs
  • Learning how to make a light-up origami frog
  • Exploring how a mechanical tilt switch works and designing a tilt-switch 3D object
  • Learning about a vibration motor and use it to create a robot, making a spinning wire project with a homopolar motor and designing a light-up paper helicopter

Each child left the camp having completed some excellent pieces of work, and it was clear that everybody had lots of fun!

If your child would be interested in attending our next Electrocraft Camp, please get in touch. Our 2022 dates (which includes February half term, the summer holidays and October half term) will be released in the New Year.
