We are delighted to hear about the variety of ways our customers are continuing to keep fit and healthy whilst our leisure facilities are temporarily closed (but we also love to hear that they can’t wait to come back!).

If you need further inspiration of where to venture next, Kieran Henderson has shared his experience from his most recent discoveries at Cothill, a hidden gem in the Oxfordshire countryside.

“I’ve cycled through Cothill many times but never noticed the discreet entrance to Hitch Copse, opposite the Merry Miller pub, so I took the opportunity to have a run through it. Once you enter the wood, you quickly realise that it’s a gem, with its wide paths, evening sunlight shining through the tall trees and an array of birdsong. The path offers a detour to Parsonage Moor Nature Reserve where the Cothill Fen is, apparently, internationally important for wildlife. Continuing through the wood leads to open and tranquil farmland with a variety of further footpaths to explore. Heading home via Dry Sandford and St Helen’s Church made it a very rewarding run”.
