Abingdon Sports and Leisure is responsible for the development of the Abingdon Foundation’s sport and leisure facilities (the Sports Centre, Tilsley Park, Amey Theatre and a variety of other lettings).
For Information on all our facilities and to make bookings please visit the Abingdon Sports and Leisure website.
The Sports Centre accommodates multi-sport activities, including badminton, volleyball, basketball and indoor hockey and has space for four cricket lanes. There are two squash courts, a gym, a climbing wall and a large multi-purpose studio, as well as an eight lane indoor swimming pool. It is open to the public for use out of school hours and during the holidays. There is a range of exercise classes for all abilities and we host sports courses, holiday activities, junior swim sessions and birthday parties.
Tilsley Park offers some of the best sports facilities in the area for rugby, athletics, hockey and football, with all-weather pitches – including a new 4G surface – and a new throws area. The facilities are very popular with local clubs and organisations and we hope to expand our offering further.
We offer exclusive-use packages, including our hospitality facilities which provide the perfect venue for training courses, workshops, conferences or away days in an ideal setting – with our first-class catering and a dedicated and friendly team. In addition, the installation of a large projection screen, 7.1 surround sound and a satellite link in the Amey Theatre has enabled it to be used as a cinema including live streaming of National Theatre productions.
