On Friday 22 September, Tilsley Park hosted the Army Bowl 2023, which saw the British Army Jackals play against Bristol Apache (American Football).
Before the game began, a walk-on ceremony proceeded to the pitch, led by a military bagpiper and flag bearers, followed by the two opposing American Football team players. The National Anthem was played, with over 200 spectators watching from the grandstand.
Final score: Bristol Apache beat the British Army Jackals 30-0.
We are delighted to host more military American Football later in the year, seeing the British Army Jackals play against the RAF Mustangs.
