Last week, our High Performance Rugby, Athletic Development and Wellness Camp took place, led by Sy Wiggall, a Strength and Mental Performance Coach with Oxford Harlequins and founder of the Oxford Youth Strength and Conditioning Academy.

The unpredictable weather didn’t dampen anyone spirits, and every participant who took part came away at the end of the week, having improved and developed their skills as a young aspiring athlete – and had lots of fun along the way!

Highlights of the camp included; learning fundamental rugby skills and game-play, improving sprinting technique, agility, movement and proprioception, incorporating Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mastering correct breathing patterns and techniques for physical and mental health, as well as strategies for helping to reduce anxiety, mindfulness, goal setting and visualisation techniques.

Our courses and holiday camps are a fun and productive way of filling up the school holidays. If your child would be interested in attending our next High Performance Rugby, Athletic Development and Wellness Camp, please get in touch by emailing [email protected].
