This is a solo show about living with trichotillomania. You might not know what that is, but don’t worry, I’ll tell you when you get here. You’ll meet a teenage girl with an undeniable secret that no one seems to notice, so she hides in her basement cubicle wondering if anyone will come downstairs. Whoa, did that get too dark too fast? Let’s try this again: TRICH is a depressing super fun show about mental health, isolation, and forging a path toward recovery through humor, vulnerability, and far too many 90s references.

Run time: 75 minutes with no interval

Age guidance: Twelve and up

Content note: The play contains profanity and sensitive material surrounding mental health, addiction, anxiety, depression, and BFRBs.

“Relatable and inspirational…An absolute triumph.” – NJArts.net

“Moving and infinitely funny.” – Lehigh Valley Press

For the first time, TRICH is crossing the Atlantic. This performance marks the show’s theatrical international debut, bringing it to audiences in England for the first time. Since its premiere at the 2021 United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City—where it received Best Actress and Audience Choice Awards—TRICH has gone on to multiple sold-out regional runs across the United States. Beyond the stage, TRICH has also become an advocacy tool, performing at mental health conferences, including a keynote appearance at the National Alliance on Mental Illness Pennsylvania State Conference.
