Laptop Stand
I designed this product for a member of the IT department who
came to me and asked me to design and make a stand for hos
laptop for whilst he is working. The design though had to be used
whilst he is standing up which is why a convenEonal design wouldn’t
work. I also had to make the height of the laptop adjustable.
The research phase went well with me learning a lot about the
current market for them. With these ideas I went to designing it.
I had various ideas and my client picked his top three. His favorite
one I began to develop before realizing it was unfeasible. I then took
his second idea and developed that.
The making part began slowly but ended with a busy last week push
to finish it making me realise that I need to learn how to manage my
Eme. During this phase my design changed to fit issues that came
up then finished off the product by geNng my client to evaluate and
test it and he was very pleased with the end product fiNng all of his
needs.
