Turbo trainer laptop stand
This idea emerged from the issue of tackling boredom while using a
sta:c bike, specifically using a laptop to watch videos as o?en
listening to music is not enough to keep yourself entertained. As
there are currently no products with this specific purpose on the
market currently, I looked into similar products such as lecterns and
less specific laptop stands. From this research, as well considering
the environment in which this product would be used, I began to
make designs which fiCed the criteria for such a product.
A?er modeling the different op:ons I had to op:mize both the
appearance and usability of the stand, I narrowed it down to this
final design, which includes a front-­‐wheel hugging curve and an
adjustable height, to allow op:mal func:on when in use. To achieve
this I had to use a variety of different processes, using both
computer-­‐aided machinery such as the laser cuCer and the basic
workshop tools, which eventually resulted in this final product.
