Gadget Tidy Project
My project was designed to effec<vely hold and protect gadgets
while they are being charged. I designed it as I saw a gap in the
market for a project like this. Many gadget owners have to remove
the cases from their phones or tablet in order to charge them, this
means they are vulnerable to scratches and knocks. As many
gadgets have different charging cables and sockets usually only
come in twos, there is also a huge mess of tangled cables in many
houses. My product can stop this by hiding the cables and also
sor<ng them with different compartments. The product also has
space to store headphones in a cubby hole underneath the unit.
My product is made mostly from wood. The upright side parts are
sprayed MDF and the curved parts to hold the gadgets are
laminated flexi-­‐ply. The design also has acrylic side pieces for
aesthe<c purposes and an aluminum bar for support along with an
aluminum handle.
