Gadget Tidy
The product was designed to help store all the gaming equipment
that many teenage boys have in their rooms, and stop the gadgets
and wires geAng tangled up.
Lots of different ideas were drawn out, some with pencil and others
using SketchUp and I’ve shown 2 of the development stages in the
pictures to the right.
Each part of the product is made out of plywood because it is a
suitable material but also because it helps make the different parts
blend together and help it look like 1 unit rather than separate parts
aLached together. To make the product involved using a wide range
of processes, including laminaMng plywood around a mould in a
vacuum bag, CNC router cuAng the ends of the shelves, and cuAng
aluminium rods for supports.
