Storage in a Design Style of the past 100 Years
I really enjoyed the process of going from design to a tac?le object.
It involved many different processes some of which I had never
heard of before this really made it a learning experience for me
which I enjoyed immensely. The lamina?ng of wood by taking
thinner pieces of wood and gluing them together to make stronger
and also flexible. This allowed me to make my quirky shapes and s?ll
they were strong. The mechanical lathe was a really interes?ng
piece of machinery and allowed me to make shaped poles with
rela?ve ease.
The way of molding these was really interes?ng and the blue foam
was a interes?ng way. My favorite part was seeing it all working and
in my room with feedback from my room mates really seeing it as a
great piece of design.
I really learnt how to use wood and metals in harmony.
