Stanley iPod dock
For my DT AS level I have made an iPod dock for Stanley. I did this so
that builders and painters could listen to music or radio when they
are on the job. My product charges the phone and also allows you
to play music.
I chose Stanley for my brand as it mainly supplies to the same target
market as I wanted to, the construcGon industry and DIY builders at
a domesGc use. I have encapsulated the Stanley image into my
product by using there colour scheme and iconic ‘Stanley slits’, as
well as the well known logo. Stanley make firm and tough looking so
I have based my design around this look. Also, I have used
aluminum metal rods in mine as I learned in my research that this is
very in style of Stanley.
My product is suitable for builders as well because of the handles
that you can clip carabenas to so it can be aLached to scaffolding, as
well as having waterproof speakers in order to allow the product to
be be kept outside for prolonged periods of Gme in the rain.
