A2 Product Design
The A2 Product Design course encourages students to tackle real life problems, in order
that they can deal with clients, choose appropriate materials and gain expert opinion
when it comes to evalua?ng their outcome.
The design situa?ons have to be realis?c and their viability jus?fied through market
research and an analysis of exis?ng products. Students then propose a wide range of
design ideas before evalua?ng their performance against the product design specifica?on.
The chosen idea is then developed using modelling, sketching and CAD. The final
outcome is made using appropriate materials and manufacturing techniques.
