A Talent of Musicians!
Is there such a collective noun? If not
there should be so as to be able to
describe Abingdon’s current crop of
musicians, some of whom can be seen in
these images from last term’s New Year’s
Concert at the end of January. The term
was further enhanced by a workshop
for chamber musicians from the world
renowned Chillingirian Quartet, who also
gave a concert at the School, and a
masterclass from the concert pianist Ben
Schoeman. A performance of Gershwin’s
Rhapsody in Blue
in Head’s Assembly
on 5 February allowed the whole school
community to appreciate all this talent.

Biggles Flies a
Fokker Home
The Third years donned Second World War uniforms, and at one point
lederhosen, in this wonderful spoof of a classic Biggles’ story, which
saw them outwit Oberführer von Spinechiller and steal the prototype of
a top-secret Fokker AKE fighter plane.
