ABINGDON PREP NEWS www.abingdon.org.uk/prep 3 APS News – May 2020 This edition of Abingdon Prep News is a bit different from the usual as we don’t generally produce a half term newsletter but we thought we would as everyone is missing being at the Prep. So here is a brief look at what we have been up to over the last five weeks. Rainbows for the NHS Showing their appreciation for the NHS, boys made an impressive selection of rainbows. Year 1 has been enjoying a variety of online lessons from building Lego mazes to practise their navigation to exploring phonics with the help of animals. The boys also enjoyed cooking pizza with Paddington Bear to help them learn all about halves and quarters, and they have been learning how to follow instructions by making upcycled planters. Year 1 Online Activities Positive Pre-Prep Pre-Prep boys and their families have been exploring activities and sharing times that make them feel really happy. They have been learning how a smile can brighten the day of everyone that you pass it to!
