Arkwright Scholarship
Congratulations to Magnus Gregory
who has been awarded an Arkwright
Scholarship. These scholarships are
for outstanding individuals who show
potential in, and who are looking to follow,
a career in design or engineering. We
currently have three Arkwright scholars in
the Sixth Form.
Aravind Prabhakaran in the
Fifth Year has created and
coded his own computer
game, CoSine, which has
been accepted by the
iTunes Apple Store.

Chemistry
Sebastian Hickman was among 15 lower
sixth formers who took part in the extremely
rigorous Cambridge Chemistry Challenge
organised by Cambridge University. 8481
students took part, the largest number
ever, and Seb recorded a fantastic score
placing him in the top 1% of candidates,
and securing the Roentgenium award level.
Seb was invited to Cambridge University
for a three-day chemistry course and to
an awards ceremony in November at the
Wellcome Trust.
The Remembrance Day Parade was a sombre,
poignant occasion with the whole school
gathered to remember those who died in conflict.
