September 2026 Development Abingdon Sun and celebration at summer garden party The Head welcomed donors and volunteers to the beautiful garden of Lacies Court for the annual garden party. The evening is always a celebration and an opportunity to say thank you to everyone who supports the school whether through philanthropy, mentoring or volunteering. Your generosity enriches the educational experience of every student at Abingdon. 24 We held our annual 1563 Society gathering on 3 June, bringing together those who have generously pledged a legacy to the school. This year, guests joined us for a traditional afternoon tea, which was made memorable by the musical talents of our students. A Champagne afternoon tea for members of the 1563 Society Date for your diary 3 and 4 March 2027 Abingdon’s Fourth Giving Day Abingdon’s community of supporters grows with each year, and it would be impossible to summarise the number of initiatives and touch points that our donors interact with in their relationship with the school. Every member of the Abingdonian community who chooses to support the school is a stakeholder in its future, ensuring future generations continue to benefit from an Abingdon education. Since launching our Seven Years to Change a Life bursary campaign in 2021, the Abingdon community has raised nearly £2.5m in donations and pledges. Thanks to the incredible support of OAs, parents, and friends, the 110 Club now has 44 members funding 10% to 100% of a student’s entire journey. This collective generosity allowed Abingdon School to provide 74 bursary places this year, with 22 students receiving full fee remission. Together, we are closer to our ultimate goal of supporting 110 pupils. Development round up 2025/26
