Welcome
The ‘Other Half’ is a colloquialism
used throughout Abingdon
School. It represents a
substantial part of the educational
experience, involving activities
that take place beyond the
academic curriculum – and
usually outside the classroom.
It is to be seen as an essential
part of the learning experience –
offering boys the opportunity
to learn about life in its broader
context; its challenges and
opportunities, successes and
inevitable disappointments.
I hope boys will enjoy looking
through this booklet and that
during their time at Abingdon
they will have the opportunity to
experience a range of contrasting
activities; hopefully one or two
will become pursuits they follow
and develop in their adult lives.
