4 September 2019 Abingdon Prep Out & About Once again, Year 5 pupils enjoyed a full and well balanced programme of outdoor activities at PGL Liddington on their annual residential trip. Despite the weather, including a barrage of downpours and even hail, the boys remained in good spirits as they tackled abseiling on the climbing wall, archery, the giant swing, aeroball, team challenges and the zipwire. The sun even came out on the last morning, casting its blessing on their good behaviour and willingness to engage with all tasks. Remarkably all of the boys were sound asleep soon after lights out, which meant the staff slept well too! Year 5 at PGL This term, Year 7 had three trips: two full of outdoor adventure, the third was a day of art and culture. First, a residential stay at Whitemead in the Forest of Dean. Secondly, they visited Compton Verney, discovering patterns and motifs in the arts and crafts galleries and architecture, which they transferred onto screen-printed banners.
