At Abingdon Prep, we believe that behaviour is communication, and in the Pre-Prep children are learning to behave, socialise and work together harmoniously and respectfully. We teach children emotional literacy and regulation through the ‘characteristics of learning’ programme and our school aims. All staff follow a policy of promoting positive behaviour, by giving ‘merits’ (counters or stickers), meaningful praise, and modelling respectful language and clear expectations.
