G R I F F E N 2 0 2 3 | 3 9 Kester McMorris (1993) Following his promotion in November 2021 to Regional Director in Faithful+Gould (F+G), Kester was recently appointed to lead the Project Management team in their Cambridge office from the start of October 2022. Charlie Pank (1996) Charlie is now circumnavigating the world with his wife, Helen and two boys Ruaridh (10) and Kit (8), on their 40ft ketch. They started in 2020 in Edinburgh and are now in Fiji. They hoped to be in New Zealand by Christmas. Mihai Clapaniuc (2010) Mihai has successfully finished his first ever four year diplomatic mandate abroad, at his country’s Embassy in the State of Qatar, the first Moldovan diplomatic presence in an Arabic country. During his mission, Mihai has promoted his country’s interest by meeting high level officials, private sector representatives and engaging in public diplomacy activities. Next, Mihai will move back to Moldova where he will be in charge of carrying out Moldova’s foreign policy making in regards to the Asian and African regions at the Foreign Ministry. Christian Mattiat (2011) After finishing the German bar exam, Christian moved to Oslo, Norway, this summer to return to his studies in public international law. His focus at the University of Oslo’s master’s program is now on Business and Human Rights as well as the law of Outer Space. Dan Knowles (1988) In what has become an almost annual tradition, a group of OAs enjoyed a Solent sailing long weekend in September. Tom Bichard, Charles Megaw, Rob Scott, Paul Allen, Dan Knowles (all 1988 leavers) and Chris Fulton (1989) took in Bembridge, Portsmouth and Cowes and will be back for more next year. John Paul Hoskins (1992) The Revd Canon John Paul Hoskins (aka JP) is now Residentiary Canon and Precentor of Worcester Cathedral, overseeing the cathedral’s liturgy and music. Retired but still very active in the cathedral is the Revd Charmian Manship (Former Common Room) who once taught JP Divinity. James Manship (1993) sings in the cathedral choir.
