Partnership activities involved more than 7,750 children and young people from 9 secondary schools and 55 primary schools More than 150 children attended primary events 99% of students who attended the languages morning would come again Abingdon School has a long history of supporting the education of young people across the town of Abingdon and in 2018–19 developedAbingdon School in Partnership (ASiP) in order to coordinate and develop its partnership activities. The School is aware of the fortunate position it holds both within the local educational landscape and within a broader national picture of school provision. To this end the School has worked hard to set up and develop partnerships with local schools which continue to grow and thrive across academic and cross-curricular settings. Our vision is to create a sustainable and balanced partnership between Abingdon School, local primary and secondary schools as well as organisations across the whole town and wider area, to provide opportunities for all spread across STEM, performing arts, sport and leadership as well as a programme of lectures and events with partner schools along with staff professional development. The Power of Partnerships he Abingdon Science Partnership (ASP) works with community and national organisations to support high quality STEM learning and experiences for all. Students can take part as Science Ambassadors supporting activities such as Primary Science Club. The ASP has developed a regular programme of STEM workshops and long-term investigation activities to enhance STEM learning in primary schools as well as holding events and challenge days with local schools.
