Josh Mandel (1990) was captain of the ‘Cartophiles’ team in the BBC4 television quiz Only Connect hosted by Victoria Coren Mitchell. David Morris (1995) is now UK Sales Account Manager for A&D Medical, a Japanese manufacturer of medical devices with UK headquarters on Abingdon Business Park. He has been with the company since 2007. In 2012 he married Nicola Parkin (formerly St Helen’s). Adrian Mutton (1992) welcomed a group of Lower Sixth geographers to his office in India to discuss the economics of modern India as part of their trip in August 2013 - the tour’s focus being ‘Globalisation and Inequalities’. Edmund Newey (1990) has recently moved back to Oxford, where he is Sub Dean of Christ Church. He still enjoys running and was last year’s veteran champion in his club, Mercia Fell Runners. David Pinniger (1996) went up to Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, where he took a first in Human Sciences in 1999. He played rugby and rowed for the Boat Club where he stroked the 1st VIII to ‘blades’ in Torpids two years in a row. David travelled solo round South America for several months before starting in the City at investment bank Morgan Stanley in their equity research department covering pharmaceuticals and biotechnology companies. He worked there for just over four years before joining a venture capital firm for three years moving from there to be investment manager of the International Biotechnology Trust – a global biotechnology investment fund. David recently joined the investment boutique Polar Capital and has just launched a new biotechnology fund with a target raise of $500m. He married Jennifer in 2011 and they have two children – Isabel (four) and William (two months). Matthew Trump (1991) relocated from Manchester to Canterbury in June 2013 to take up the position of IT Security Officer at the University of Kent. Jonathan Barclay (2004) has recently become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) as part of his continued progression towards becoming an urologist. Tom Beardsworth (2001) was married to Sandra on 14 July 2012 at St Mary’s Church in Wymeswold, Leicestershire, by Peter Lewis, former Common Room. Jasper Cooper (2007) has started a teaching post at Brighton College Prep School after completing his PGCE at Reading University. He is teaching science with boy’s games. Christian Davies (2005) studied History at University College London. Having spent a year as a ministerial advisor in Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw, he obtained a Masters degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
