Music

Far East Tour concert on Friday 28 June at 7pm – Amey Theatre.  If you don't yet have your tickets for our pre-tour concert next Friday, it is not too late to get them! Come and hear our Touring Orchestra and Big Band just 36 hours before we set off for Japan and Hong Kong. We will be playing almost all of the music that we are taking on our epic tour to the Far East, including Beethoven's 3rd Piano Concerto with a different boy soloist in each movement, Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No 2, Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March, Vaughan Williams' English Folksong Suite and several others not so highbrow, including a medley by Burt Bacharach and the March from Thunderbirds. The Big Band, too, will be much in evidence in its slimmed down form.  Click here for Box Office tickets and here to see a digital copy of our tour brochure.

Teenage Wellbeing presentation for parents – Tuesday 8 October 2019, 7pm Amey Theatre, Abingdon School (a presentation to parents by Natasha Devon MBE)

Natasha Devon MBE is a writer & activist. She tours schools and colleges throughout the UK, delivering talks as well as conducting research on mental health, body image, gender and social equality. Natasha regularly speaks at Parliament and gives evidence to the Education and Health Select Committees, representing the interests of teenagers and teachers. In 2015 she was awarded an MBE for her services to young people and in 2016 the Sunday Times and Debretts named her one of the 500 most influential people in Britain. This promises to be a truly excellent and informative talk.  Please sign up to secure a free ticket as we anticipate this to be a very popular event.
