75 www.abingdon.org.uk Lent Term Summ Term Minor by Vivaldi on the Cello. He played with a wonderful, deep sound that filled the whole theatre. Much to Mr Jenkins’ pleasure, we heard the well known Star Wars Theme played by Shreyanshu Mohanty on the viola. And of course, he gave such a big theme tune real justice! Nearing the end of the concert, Junior Blues played a booming rock medley! The director, Paul Owen, had some real tunes up his sleeve: this included Smoke on Water by Blackmore and Back in Black by Young, played lively by the performers. The atmosphere was absolutely electric whilst they were playing. The concert was ended by the Lower School Choir belting out Let It Be and Hey Jude by the Beatles. As expected, this was a true hit with all of the parents in the theatre who were happily mouthing the lyrics, much to their sons’ embarrassment. All in all, it was a really special evening that will be remembered for years to come. The solos were played to a wonderful standard and the bands played in unity perfectly.
