It is a celebration of the contribution that pupils, staff, parents and OAs have made both to the School and to the wider community over the past two years. The 1563 Society The 1563 Society exists to recognise and thank those who have decided to leave a legacy to Abingdon. The Headmaster and Chairman of the 1563 Society were delighted to welcome members and their guests to the first Society lunch on 14 September, which was held in the Amey Theatre Foyer. It was a lovely occasion that fostered community between Society members who are brought together by their shared interest in, and support for, Abingdon School. If you would like to find out more about joining the Society please contact: [email protected] . 1 2017–2019 The Abingdon Foundation Donations, Volunteering and Partnerships: The Impact of Giving On 26 April 1870 Abingdon School moved to its current premises at Albert Park. To celebrate our 150th anniversary we are excited to be launching several fundraising campaigns. Abingdon Bursary Fund To raise over £150,000 on our Abingdon 150 Giving Day on 18 March. Boarding Houses Project Crescent House, Austin House and School House will all benefit - subject to planning permission - from ambitious re-modelling and upgrading. Leaving a Legacy The 1563 Society is growing and we are aiming to increase membership to 150 by the end of 2020. We look forward to updating you on developments throughout the year and would love you to be involved.
