Greece 32 students from the 4th year upwards sailed around the Aegean Islands. The 450 mile challenging route can be used towards day and coastal skipper qualifications. Silver DofE 8 boys completed a very challenging Silver DofE canoe practice expedition covering the 73km from Castle Eaton to Bablock Hythe and then back to the Boathouse with two overnight camps. 15 Madagascar 25 boys explored remote regions of Madagascar on a biology field trip. They spent a week in the forest with scientists collecting data on flora and fauna. Travelling onto the island of Nosy Be, those who were qualified scuba divers completed a marine ecology course surveying the reefs. Costa Rica 10 students worked on a turtle conservation project on the Pacific coast, trekked through hidden corners of the rain forest, studied the use of animals and plants for medicinal and survival purposes, zip-wired through the cloud forest and learnt all about coffee and chocolate which they sampled aplenty! Moldova 14 sixth formers visited Moldova working with our partner charity Agape, organising summer camps for Moldovan children.
