14 September 2018 Forest School Abingdon Prep Pre-Prep For our International Day, each Pre-Prep class found out about their country through dressing in traditional costume, learning some basic language, doing crafts, making music and other activities. We also had a visiting Samba drummer from Brazil, who taught the boys to clap and sing phrases and play a range of instruments to the Samba beat. We had a whistle stop tour of three continents, visiting Japan, Australia and The Gambia, and we got back from our experiences just in time to return to our homes around Oxfordshire! International Day Read for 15 While undertaking a sponsored read for our charity, Springfield School, Pre-Prep trialled the current French 'Read for 15' initiative. Participants all stop for 15 minutes and just read on their own. We have tried this together as a department and it has been very successful.
