10 September 2018 Abingdon Prep Performing Arts Y5 Soirée The finals of our annual House Music Competition were split into two events this year - with separate awards for instrumental and singing performances. We were privileged to have Dr Peter Foster, Director of Music at OLA as our instrumental adjudicator. He talked about overcoming performing nerves and how to take a good bow before giving the finalists feedback. The winner was Josef on saxophone. Singing is an increasingly popular musical discipline and to recognise this, our house vocalists competed separately for the new Debbie Rose Cup. The competition was adjudicated by Karina, an experienced singer. The inaugural winner of the new Debbie Rose Cup was Rupert.
