On Friday 15 November, we welcomed over 150 boys and over 50 OAs to our Sixth Form Careers Evening in the Yang Science Centre – the largest one to date as we achieved almost double the number of attendees in previous years. Our thanks also go to a number of parents, former parents and friends of the School who also stepped in to offer career advice.

We were overwhelmed with the level of support our OAs were willing to give to this event and careers advice in general, and we know how much Abingdon boys benefit from it.

The Headmaster, Michael Windsor, opened the event and encouraged Abingdon boys to make the most of this valuable opportunity where OAs represented such a large spread of careers and professions. Ken Welby (1984), OA Club Chairman gave a number of closing remarks and thanked OAs for the wealth of advice they shared with boys who are taking their first steps to deciding their future career paths.

The evening closed with a relaxed OA supper that we enjoyed in boarders hall.
