This year 21 OAs played in the annual OA Golf Day. In the morning, we played 9 holes on the Red Course and the organiser David Blomley (1976) won the Trenaman Trophy, closely followed by Stuart Hammond and Robin Scibilia (both also 1976). Nearest the pin was won by Nick Shephard (1975).

After lunch we played 18 holes on the Green Course, with Mike Neilan (1960) taking the honour and winning the John Roysse Cup with a fine score of 37 stableford points. John Dunthorne (1965) had the same number of points, but unfortunately lost on countback. Neil Snodgrass (1968) was third and Paddy Viney (1955) came 4th. Nearest the pin was won by John Mellor (1965) and the longest drive was by Julian Shellard (1971).

The weather was wonderful and the course was in superb condition. The day was rounded off with an excellent dinner.

We were delighted to be joined for a second year by Michael Triff from the School and Felicity Lusk took time from her busy schedule to join us for lunch and say a few encouraging words to us all.

Next year has already been booked for Tuesday 12 May at the same course. We welcome all ages of OAs and have a wide range of abilities.
