It was brilliant to see so many OAs, staff, friends and families convene at War Memorial Field on Friday 21 June, the longest day of 2019, to play and spectate a closely-fought Twenty20 match against the First XI.

For the second year running, we were treated to glorious summer evening sunshine which made for a perfect setting for the game and a top-notch BBQ prepared again by our Director of Cricket-come-chef.

Many thanks go to our umpires for the evening and to Chris Burnand and James Golding, Abingdon School's Director of Cricket for assisting in the organising and running of the event.

Despite being down a couple of team players at the lats minute, OAs played gallantly. We are grateful to all those who took the time to support this OA Club sporting event, and hope to see many of you again at next year’s match – if not another fixture in the meantime.
