Tuesday 21 September, Hong Kong Jockey Club Happy Valley Clubhouse, 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm

We are delighted to report record attendance at the Abingdon School Hong Kong Reception 2010, held this year at the Hong Kong Jockey Club and hosted, on behalf of the School, by Mr and Mrs Tom Ayling, Dr Peter Willis (Director of Studies) and Mrs Jane Jørgensen (Registrar).

Over 90 friends of Abingdon School (including alumni, current parents and former parents) gathered for this regular reunion event, which also provides an opportunity for current parents based in Hong Kong to discuss their son’s progress in person with a representative of the School.

The new Head, Felicity Lusk, who was unfortunately not able to attend the Hong Kong Reception this year, sent her own personal welcome message to Abingdon’s Hong Kong family, which was read out by Tom Ayling (former Second Master).  Guests were also able to view a slide-show presentation about the School, which included many photographs of the Head taken at School events during her first few days.

Tom Ayling thanked Dr Ko, Mrs Cheung and Mrs Lo, all parents of former pupils, for their particular assistance to Abingdon’s annual visit to Hong Kong.
