On Saturday Abingdon's senior squash team played St Edward's away. The team for the match was Nikhil Vyas, Will Taylor, James Munday, Felix Loeffen and Alex d'Arcy.
Alex was making his debut in the first team, but played notably confident squash to win 3-0. Felix, almost a veteran now, also played superbly for a 3-0 win. James was stepping up to play 3rd string, and showed all his movement and retrieving skills to win, also without dropping a game.
Will had a rare off day, and his opponent was a stronger player than he originally looked; Will lost out on this occasion but will bounce back. Nikhil then came in at 1st string and was never in danger, recording another dominant victory.
So the match ended up a convincing 4-1 win, setting us up well for the return match next term.
