Congratulations to the School's Head of Security and Porterage, Martin Strong who has won the John Aplin award at the annual Security Institute's National Awards Ceremony. Martin undertook the management course last year passing with an A grade and was subsequently entered into the Security Institute's national awards for the learner of the year 2018/19. The entrants were judged on how they are implementing what they have learned into their work environment and on the evening of the ceremony Martin was announced the winner. Speaking about the award Martin, who was very pleased to receive the recognition, said, “I would like to thank the School for encouraging and supporting me to take on this course.
