R.T. Hewer has been given a Commission in the Yeomanry. We read with regret that he has been wounded in the recent fighting.

HEWER – Killed in action in Palestine. Second Lieut. Richard Tuckey Hewer aged 30 years. R.T. Hewer came to Abingdon in March1898. He shewed considerable ability as a Mathematician and took an active part in many school interests. On leaving school he joined a firm of Auctioneers with whom he worked until he volunteered for active service.
