The Y2 class at St Edmund's has become the first partner school group to complete not only the eight activities for the British Science Association (BSA) CREST Star Science Investigator Award, but also a further twelve activities needed to become CREST Superstars! This is an amazing achievement so it was only fitting that they were also the group chosen to help celebrate Abingdon Science Partnership's contribution to the BSA's Great British Science Club, marking the 30th birthday of the CREST Award scheme. They were treated to a special science show, with lots of bangs and flames, run by Science Partnership Co-ordinator Jeremy Thomas and Science Technicians, Grant Baldwin and Terry Sexon. This was followed by presentation of their certificates and a piece of celebratory birthday cake, specially made by Abingdon School's Catering Department who have supported so many Partnership events with excellent food and refreshments throughout the year.
