30 November 2017

On Saturday the Rugby Club was out in force across all age groups with teams playing from U12s to U18s. It was a very successful day with rugby being played in fantastic spirit and many top performances from age group teams.

The U12 A and B and U13 A and B teams played away with the U12 As losing a closely contested match 20-15 and the U12 B team losing 10-5. Our U13 As won 35-25 and the U13 B team won 25-10. Some excellent matches with terrific performances and massive improvement from our boys.

The Lower School then headed off to Twickenham Stadium for their ‘parent/son’ trip to watch England vs Samoa. The day was long for the boys and parents, but great fun and one where memories were made and aspirations set high for the future.

Our U14s had a very good day playing at home. The U14 A XV won 19-0. The U14 B XV won 59-17, the U14 C XV won 38-10 and the U14 D XV lost 45-10. So much improvement has been with this age group this half term. They have really started gelling together and the boys should be proud of their performances and results.

Our U15s continued their great season as an age group. The A XV won 15-10 on Waste Court showing some class at times. The B XV won 32-5, the C XV won 47-0 and D XV finished an excellent set of performances and results winning 50-0.

Our U16 A XV has been undefeated this season and impressed again winning 61-0 at home on Waste Court. The U16 B XV lost 15-14 and U16 C XV won 27-19.

The senior results away in the afternoon were very pleasing with our 1st XV winning 22-13. An incredible team performance and one the boys will remember for a long time to come, having been very close this half term a few times. The 2nd XV won 19-11 against a very good RGS. The 3rd XV won 31-7 showing some amazing defence in spells. And the 4th XV won 25-10.

A wonderful day for the Rugby Club and it just shows how much improvement has been made this half term across the age groups.
