Last week saw the Rosslyn Park National Schools Rugby Sevens tournament take place in Wimbledon, London. The tournament has evolved since its humble beginning in 1939 into the world's largest rugby tournament with some 7,000 boys and girls aged 13-18 competing annually. It has been held every year since it’s conception, becoming one of the oldest continuous tournaments.

Our U16 VII and 1st VII took part in the competition. The performances were superb in certain matches. Our U16s played extremely well, but lost their crunch group decider against Llandovery College in the final play of the game and therefore did not go through to day two. Our 1st VII started the day well, put in a terrific shift developing every game, but lost to group winner’s Christ College, Brecon so did not go through to day two.
