Dear Sir,

I beg to enclose a photo of my son Sidney Ernest Clack killed in action in France, April 25th 1918 aged 19 years. After training in England he left for France April 3rd 1918 so that he was only in France 3 weeks before he fell in action. I cannot get information as present as to the actual place of his death, but hope to do so later.

Yours faithfully,
Alice Clack

P.S. After arriving in France my son was transferred to the 2/4 City of London Fusiliers London Regt.
