A team of Abingdon mathematicians took part in the Princeton University Maths Challenge 'Power Round': a set of undergraduate level mathematics problems set by the students of Princeton University, this year on Lie Algebras.

Teams enter the competition from around the world and this year the team did superbly, coming 3rd out of all postal entries and 11th overall. The team was organised and led this year by Ben Wilson, who did a splendid job encouraging younger and older boys alike to get to grips with some of the problems. A special congratulations to the four boys whose solutions made up the final entry: Ben Wilson, James Hogge, Sean Kao and Hayden Ramm.
