Last Tuesday Year 6 went to the Central Oxford Mosque. When we arrived at the mosque it was definitely bigger than we expected.

When we got into the mosque we were told to take off our shoes. We met the Imam who led us into the prayer room and introduced himself. He told us more about Islam and answered our questions. We also asked the Imam to help us complete our worksheets about the mosque. Next, we watched the Imam perform wudu. Wudu is a process that Muslims perform before praying to make sure they are clean in Allah’s presence before praying. You had to wash three times.

After the wudu room we went back to the entrance hall, said our goodbyes and went back to School.
