Year 3 experimented with creating their own natural pigments to paint with outside as part of their Colour and Texture unit.

Mixing water with beetroot, raspberries, coffee, turmeric, paprika and spinach, they created a variety of colours to experiment with. They used a mixture of tools such as sticks, forks, brushes, sponges and a tea strainer to make up their colours.

They then layered some beautiful drawings of flowers from the garden over their colourfull natural backgrounds. Exceptional creativity with exceptional results.

Well done Year 3.
