Year 2 enjoyed an action packed trip to Warwick Castle as part of their History topic. They began the day by exploring the castle towers and ramparts and admiring the views from the top. They then ventured inside to discover the Great Hall and the King Maker exhibition.

They were extremely lucky to have the opportunity to handle some medieval weapons and shields and were very excited to hear how they were used. After lunch the boys watched a bird of prey demonstration and really appreciated the magnificent creatures. The Horrible Histories Maze was incredibly exciting; the boys all had a map and collected stamps around the maze. Thankfully everyone managed to find their way out! To finish off the day, the boys visited the time tower and learnt all about the History of Warwick Castle and who has lived in the castle over the ages.

A fantastic day was had by all!
