Message from Craig Williams, Children\u2019s Mental Health Awareness Week<\/b><\/p>\n
This week is Children’s Mental Health Awareness week (3-9 February 2025). The initiative was launched by the children’s mental health charity <\/span>Place2Be<\/span><\/a> with the aim of giving a voice to all children and young people in the UK. This year’s theme is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n Some other support organisations for children\u2019s mental health include<\/span><\/p>\n Some resources that may be helpful:<\/span><\/p>\n Thank you so much to one of our parent\u2019s who has kindly shared these resources with us. We hope having these links gathered in one place will be useful to any parent who wishes to explore this important topic. Mental health has been the theme of both our assemblies this week, so this is a good opportunity to start conversations with your children about it.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n February half term rugby now available to book – Elite Rugby Skills Camp<\/b><\/p>\n Based at Abingdon School. Welcoming boys and girls aged 8 to 15 years. 8.30am \u2013 4.00pm on each day.<\/span><\/p>\n Monday 17 \u2013 Thursday 20 February – <\/span>Click here to book<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Join us for our all-new Elite Rugby Skills Camp, designed to nurture young talents by helping them refine their existing rugby skills while teaching essential injury prevention techniques for a safe and enjoyable rugby journey. This comprehensive camp covers fundamental skills such as passing, catching, and kicking, as well as tactical strategies, set plays, and game management.<\/span><\/p>\n The primary goal of this rugby camp is to instill in participants a drive for continuous self-improvement, both on and off the field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Message from Elliot Birkbeck, Fixtures<\/b><\/p>\n Just a reminder that new sports teams will be updated on SOCs each week.\u00a0 You can log on here<\/a> and it can also be synced to your phone calendar so you are able to have notifications pop up in your calendar when your child has been selected for a fixture.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thursday Thought<\/b><\/p>\n Would you swap your pet for a robot? Would you like to have a robot pet?<\/span><\/p>\n Please have a think and discussion about this over the weekend. The children can then join Lenka on Monday at morning break to discuss.
