Abingdon Preparatory School stood in silence today for two minutes to remember the fallen.<\/p>\n
The whole school community gathered quietly in the quad for the Armistice Day ceremony. The boys were wearing their poppies and holding others they had made. A special tray had been set aside for the poppies to be laid in – ‘a field’, representing Flanders.<\/p>\n
Paddy Langdale (year 7), on the trumpet, expertly marked the beginning of the silence with The Last Post and the end with The Reveille .<\/p>\n
