The boys were wearing their poppies and holding others they had made. A special tray had been set aside for the poppies to be laid in &#8211; &#8216;a field&#8217;, representing Flanders.<\/p>\n<p>Paddy Langdale&nbsp;(year 7),&nbsp;on the trumpet, expertly marked the beginning of the silence with The Last Post and the end with The Reveille .<\/p>\n<p>The Headmaster closed the ceremony with the Ode of Remembrance by Laurence Binyon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>11 November 2011 Abingdon Preparatory School stood in silence today for two minutes to remember the fallen.
