We started off in the Green Dragon room, where each child made their own little planting pot out of paper, which they used to plant a sunflower seed into.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOur guide, Lawrence took us all out to dig up some soil and some compost, which we mixed together for our pots.&nbsp; He told us about the soil and what makes it especially rich for our seeds to grow and taught us to do a rain dance to encourage the earthworms up to the surface &ndash; and we were experts &ndash; worms came up all around us!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>30 April 2012 What a fun, muddy day the Reception and Year 1 boys had at Hill End Forest School.&nbsp;
